Holey Grail Donuts
What better way to start your Sunday than with a fresh donut? Holey Grail Donuts in Hanalei serve up some of the tastiest breakfast treats on the island. Made with Taro flour, these donuts are moist, tasty, light, and packed with flavor. Holey Grail is only open on Sundays and can get quite the line but it is worth the wait - trust us.

Tacos Al Pastor
There is nothing quite like a fresh fish taco, and lucky for you (and us!) Tacos Al Pastor serves up quite arguably the best fish tacos on the island. Located on the Coastal Highway in Kapaa, Tacos Al Pastor is the perfect place to stop between the south and north shores. Fresh ingredients, consistently delicious tacos, authentic flavors and a mean lineup of hot sauces make Tacos Al Pastor a must visit when searching for Mexican cuisine (made with fresh local Kauai ingredients).

Fresh Shave is one of our favorite shave ice spots as it offers a healthier, all-natural alternative to some of the other sugary options on the island. Offering delicious flavors made from organic, fresh local fruit you can indulge all you want without the guilt! Stop by Fresh Shave to enjoy flavors like Pineapple + Coconut, Mint + Lime, Chai Tea + Cream, and plenty more exciting options! Plus their mustache straws are a must for keiki & adults alike!

Anatta’s Thai
When it comes to street food, Thai wins. And on Kauai, the best Thai street food comes from Annatta’s Thai food truck. This popular eatery has two locations (One in Kapaa and one in Lihue) and serves up the most mouth-watering Thai food you could ever dream of. Everything is made to order and served up piping hot and fresh, including a variety of curries, fried rice, noodle dishes, and more (with vegan and vegetarian options as well).
Kikuchi’s
Located across the highway from Kalapaki Beach, Kikuchi’s serves up asian fusion cuisine with customer favorites including their fresh ahi sushi wraps and a variety of steamed buns. As with many of our top food truck picks, the line can get long and you can sometimes wait 15-20 minutes for your order but once you dive in you will realize it is worth the wait! Kikuchi’s is no frills and the focus is definitely on flavor-filled, delicious asain food with fresh, local ingredients from the island.
